How Would My Sister Organise Corporate Events?

March 12th 2010 in Misc

I’m far from the most organised person in the world, in fact whenever someone considers me organised, I tell them that it’s just chaos wearing a mask, but my sister? She’s WAY less organised than I am, and yet somehow, she’s just scored herself a job organising corporate events.

I’m really pleased for her, obviously; it’s a good job and she’ll make good money out of it, not to mention the fact that she’s going to be schmoozing with a lot of big players now – there’s a great opportunity for her here, but I seriously can’t figure out how the hell she’s going to organise corporate events. This is a girl who struggles to get her train tickets sorted out on time and can’t even manage to get to the pub when we’re meeting up on time, how the hell is she going to manage organising something like that?

The answer, I suppose, is that she’ll do it the way we do things like this in our family – fake it, have a meltdown, panic and yet somehow it all works out in the end. That’s how I do things, I’m sure she’ll do it the same way; blagging, yelling and returning to the bombsites in which we live and hoping that one day we’ll find a way of getting things done without the panic and the yelling.

I don’t think it’ll happen though; life – at least my life – is pretty much nothing but struggling to make a bit of order out of the chaos our brains work in. My sister’s head works the same, but I’m sure she’ll be able to make her head work long enough to organise her corporate events.
