Humbug Tips – Use Ecards

December 18th 2009 in Misc, Rants

Christmas sucks. I hate it, I hate everything about it and if you like Christmas, I probably hate you too. In fact, I probably hate you anyway, but that’s not the point. The biggest problem with Christmas is that despite how much you may want to avoid it, there are still things that you have to do because otherwise those few people that you don’t hate, but merely tolerate will be upset with you and then before you know it, you’ll be at the pub on your own all the time. Cards are one of these things, but I’ve found the solution to the time consuming, annoying process – Ecards.

There is not a sane human being alive that likes writing Christmas cards. Fact. Added to that, physical cards cost money. Money that we could spend on blu rays, CDs, gadgets and all kinds of other cool crap for the most important person in our lives: ourselves! But Ecards are the solution; most sites have a membership option, so you can join up and then send as many as you need to after a one-off payment. Added to that, there’s a funky little trick on computers that you might have heard of called copy and paste. You only have to write the Ecard once! Brilliant! I am a genius!

Humbug-tastic. For my next trick, I’ll tell you how to avoid paying out for expensive, shiny present wrapping.

Hey I just wanted to let you know, I really like the composition on your website. But I am utilising Flock on a machine running version 8.x of Crashbang Ubuntu and the UI aren’t quite satisfactory. Not a important deal, I can still fundamentally read the articles and explore for info, but just wanted to inform you about that. The navigation bar is kind of difficult to use with the config I’m running. Keep up the superb work!
